At Learnix, your privacy matters. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights around that data.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Learnix:

• Account data: Email address, username, and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth)
• Learning data: Lesson completion, quiz scores, XP, streaks, and progress records
• User content: Notes and bookmarks you create within the platform
• Usage data: Pages visited and features used, collected to improve the platform

We do not collect payment information. Learnix is currently free to use.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data solely to:

• Provide and improve the Learnix learning experience
• Track your progress and sync it across devices
• Send account-related emails (confirmation, password reset)
• Display your username and stats within the platform

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a PostgreSQL-based cloud database provider. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Supabase's infrastructure is hosted on AWS.

4. Third-Party Services

Learnix uses the following third-party services:

• Supabase — Authentication and database
• Vercel — Hosting and content delivery
• Google Fonts — Typography (Inter, JetBrains Mono)

Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing their use of data.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

Learnix uses browser localStorage to remember your theme preference (dark or light mode). We use session cookies maintained by Supabase Auth to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data via Account Settings
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Export your data upon request

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

8. Children's Privacy

Learnix is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
